Midnight Movie Madness

Since I do not work on Friday and the kids are out of school we have been going to movies right when they first show Thursday Night at midnight. It is kind of an adventure to see the movies in the middle of the night and to see them before anyone else.

So far at midnight we have seen:

1. Get Smart
2. Wall-E (whole family!)
3. Journey to the Center of the Earth

Tonight it is:

4. Batman: The Dark Knight

It should be a lot of fun with people in Batman costumes, etc.

Any mention of "The Joker" reminds me of my best friend who died. He used to use "The Joker as an online computer handle.

Missing Sign

Emily was running through the house and collided with NatJ. I got mad. I said, "We DO NOT run in the house!". Emily replied, "You do not have a sign that says 'Do not run!'".

She got me.

Trampolines are Death Traps

Becca has a picture of me in my pajamas on a trampoline! Try not to get too excited.

I do not know how she got this shot, but I do know that I can never forgive her for posting it on the Internet.

Swingtown: A Guilty Pleasure

Swingtown, a CBS show about, uh...swingers is actually a really good show, and not the first broadcast porn as you might expect. The character development and the writing are very good.

Last nights' episode about living an authentic life, compared to succumbing to the expectations of society was right on target in my opinion. Happiness seems to lie somewhere in between. You have to conform to some extent to connect to society, but not so much that you lose yourself.

The thing that is tricky and leads to many misunderstandings is that that level of conformance is different for everyone. Some people feel a strong need to conform and fit in and for others it is of little or no importance.

The next tricky thing is that even within a couple it is not the same, and so the two partners needs to work out how much they want to conform, or how much that conformity will stifle individuality.

Very interesting questions from a very interesting TV show.

Donald Trump "Way to Wealth" Seminar

I am attending the Donald Trump Way to Wealth seminar this Sunday at 3pm. I am a Donald Trump fan, and the seminar is free. I like going to things like this, and you get a free copy of The Donald's latest book for attending. If you are in the Austin area, sign up and meet me there!
