Nat's Strategy

So we are playing Axis and Allies Pacific and my 4 year old Nat says he wants to play, so I ask him what strategy does he think we should use, and he leans over to me and whispers in my ear, "kill".

Here We Are On Vacation

So we were on the Star Tours ride at Disneyland. This is a ride that supposedly takes you on a vacation to Hoff or some other Star Wars planet, and instead you end up in another of those Empire battles. So anyway we come out of the ride conviently into the gift shop and then back to Disneyland. So my 3 year old Emily yells out incredulously, "Hey! We are still here?!?". It took me a minute to catch her drift. She was expressing surprised that we did not actually travel anywhere. I was surprised that she picked up on what the ride was all about as she has never flown on a plane or anything.

So December 27th was my 23rd wedding anniversary. I was surprised. It took Ruth Ann almost the whole day to wish me Happy Anniversary.

Merry Christmas!

As I write this NORAD is reporting that Santa Clause is over St. Louis and moving fast, so I do not have much time. I am in San Diego visiting my Dad. We just got done watching A Christmas Story and now the children are all in bed. We are putting presents under the tree and filling stockings for Santa. I have many photos, but I forgot to bring the device to download pictures from the camera and so pictures will have to wait until my return to Austin.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Favorite Christmas Carol

This is my favorite Christmas carol. What is yours?

Oh Holy Night

Oh holy night!
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend.

Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.

True or False?

God helps those who help themselves.

True of false? Discuss amongst yourselves.

Huge Success!

I travelled up to Dallas with my friends Darron and Jason (road trip!) and we presented NewI\O to 42 people. The setup was plain, but initmate. There were even 2 labrador retrievers running around, including one chocolate lab puppy that was a doll.

It was the largest crowd that I ever have had a chance to present to. Most everyone got it. I think we definetly had the wow factor. I believe that I picked up 2 new developers for the project. A major success.

Why I Hate Fanatasy Football

I figured I would do well this week. I was playing against the guy who is starting Donavan McNabb. This is good for me, since Donavan McNabb is out for the season on injured reserve. This guy has Drew Brees sitting on the bench.

Further this guy is starting Ronnie Brown, RB for Miami who is also out injured. I know, because I drafted and played his replacement RB Sammy Morris.

I figure I should win this week, right?

No. I lose 50-42.

Here is the damage:

2006 Car Show

NatJ and I went to the car show today, and then for some lunch afterwards and had a great time. This is NatJ in front of a nice burnt orange corvette.

NatJ in front of a Hummer H2.

This is a Ford Fairlane concept car (not available, yet).

NatJ beside a Ford Mustang GT convertible.

Ford Shelby Cobra GT500. Very nice.

Ford Robot. I guess if the cars do not work out, they can make robots.

This is a driving game that we got to play that uses a real race car. Fun!

Ford Super Chief concept truck. This thing is a tank! It is really huge and deluxe. The silver color makes it look armor plated.
